Camp Habiba Community Experience, Egypt – Ongoing
Camp Habiba Community is inviting campers to join them in the beautiful Sinai Peninsula to participate in regreening the desert!
There are no set dates so you can arrive on any day, but a minimum stay of two weeks is required. The price quoted is based on a two week stay.
Expect to work with local farmers using permaculture techniques to regreen the desert and ensure that the people living there have food and water security, sovereignty and an income.
Expect to work with local communities to restore a healthy hydrology of the region. Expect to be able to relax in the fine beaches of Habiba Community. Expect to come and learn about ecosystem restoration!
Camp Habiba Community can host 25 to 30 long-term campers (cost of living then covered) or short term campers who pay a small daily contribution towards food and accommodation of 20 euros a day.
Visit the camp page to download the Camp Handbook, learn more about Habiba Community, and view the Camp Schedule to get an idea of the enriching cultural, learning and restoration activities you can look forward to during your stay!
