The Edible Wilderness Autumn Rewilding Camp at Embercombe, England
October 21 - October 24355GBP – 455GBP
As we stand on the very edge of ‘what next’ for the human species, we begin to realise the need to adapt and evolve – to work with nature instead of against it, to ensure our place and the future of our children, alongside those of all species, inside a story that is bigger than all of us. It is time to bring back the wild, to invite it into our lives, in all the different ways we can think of – to our land, to ourselves, in our stories, in the ways we live and work, to our culture at large. Join us for an exploration of what it could mean, to rewild our land and ourselves.
For four days over the Autumn we will gather on a piece of wilding land on the edge of Dartmoor to begin the journey of a return to working with nature, in this place, as an example of all of our places, and with people who believe in a different way of living with the more-than-human world.
Camp under the stars in our back to nature yurts or camp site, share your experiences around the fire, hear from experts, storytellers, ecologists,
Visit the farm of beaver and rewilding expert Derek Gow and witness how he has transformed his farm into a riotous haven of life.
Experience the rich mix of participation, conversation and story as we navigate together what rewilding means at this moment in time.
