Leo van der Vlist is trained as a lawyer and works for the Netherlands Centre for Indigenous Peoples (NCIV) and the foundation Embassy of the Earth and is member of the international Board of Directors of the Forest Stewardship Council. He has almost 30 years of working experience with advocating the rights of indigenous peoples worldwide and is specialized in engagement processes with local communities.
